About Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the body’s natural ability to relax, unwind, and heal. Using light touch at the head, spine, sacrum, and other areas of tension, this therapy helps calm the nervous system and release long-held patterns in the body. Many people describe it as deeply soothing—like dropping into a quiet space where the body finally gets a chance to reset.

This work is ideal for anyone dealing with chronic tension, jaw pain or TMJ issues, headaches, migraines, stress, anxiety, or general nervous system overwhelm. It’s also a great option if you’re sensitive to deeper pressure or prefer a more subtle approach than traditional massage or bodywork. Craniosacral therapy can also support people who feel “stuck” emotionally or physically and want a gentle way to move forward.

Benefits may include improved sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, better TMJ and jaw function, fewer headaches, easier breathing, and a more grounded, balanced sense of well-being. Because this therapy works directly with the nervous system, shifts can ripple into many areas—your mood, digestion, focus, and overall energy.

During a session, you’ll remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on the table. I use slow, gentle contact to follow what your body is already trying to do—soften, reorganize, and release. There’s no pushing, cracking, or force. Most people settle into a dreamy, meditative state and walk out feeling lighter, clearer, and more centered.

Craniosacral therapy at Agate Acupuncture & Natural Healing is available for clients from Two Harbors, Duluth, and beyond the North Shore who are seeking a natural, non-invasive way to regulate their nervous system and support whole-body wellness.
