Lanna Has always held a special place in her heart for travel. It started as a young child on family vacations. Vacations turned into becoming a Rotary Exchange student, that turned into a Peace Corps Volunteer with lots of international and national travel sprinkled in between.
While searching for the perfect career choice, Lanna knew she wanted to do something that she would be able to travel with. It is a goal to travel as much as possible with acupuncture. " I want to make connections and talk to people about Chinese Medicine. I want to volunteer in under- served communities to provide them with the healing energy of acupuncture, because I believe in the power of Chinese medicine. It may not eradicate HIV/AIDS, but it certainly can lessen the suffering that is carried around with that diagnosis."
I believe Anthony Bourdaine said it best with this. "“It seems that the more places I see and experience, the bigger I realize the world to be. The more I become aware of, the more I realize how relatively little I know of it, how many places I have still to go, how much more there is to learn.” Travel changes a person. It makes you a better person, more understanding, more tolerant, more open minded.
